Final Warning To TikTok: Pakistan gave a shock & Pakistan Warn’s Tik Tok to China Apps and banned its Bigo App. Pakistan has also given a final warning to the extremely popular TikTok. Pakistan has banned this for showing pornographic and immoral content. India banned 59 Chinese apps, including TikTok, last month, after which Tik Tok is under threat of a ban in many countries.
Pakistan has previously banned the gaming app PUBG. A petition was filed in the Lahore High Court demanding an immediate ban on TikTok. The Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) had sent a notice to TikTok and Bigo seeking a reply in this matter following the continuous complaints received. Not satisfied with Bigo Live’s response, he has been banned. TikTok was given a final warning and instructed to remove the objectionable content.
According to the Reuters report, TikTok said that it would follow the policies of the Government of Pakistan and discussions with its government are continuing in this matter. Tiktok is one of the most popular apps in Pakistan. It has been downloaded 39 million times so far. Bigo Live was downloaded 1.7 million times.
Earlier, Imran Khan government had banned the online game PUBG. The government termed it as anti-Islam and said that youth get addicted to this game. The game affected the physical and mental health of the youth. It had 16 million users in Pakistan. As another hand India also banned almost 59 chinese apps included Tik Tok.
